Pythagoras Ι

BYZANTINE HISTORY
• March 2004 – August 2006 (extended until December 2007), Topic: The Byzantine and the Western worlds: confrontations and mutual influences from the 11th until the 15th centuries. Group of researchers coordinated by Assistant Professor Athina Kolia-Dermitzaki, in collaboration with Assistant Professor Triantafyllitsa Maniati-Kokkini and Associate Professor Maria Dourou-Eliopoulou. Participation of Ph.D. candidates and MA students.

 

Pythagoras ΙΙ

BYZANTINE HISTORY
• 2005-2007, Triantafyllitsa Maniati-Kokkini Coordinator of a research project under Pythagoras II, entitled: Taxation and tax-exemptions in the Palaeologan era (13th-15th centuries). Participation of Ph.D. candidates and MA students.

 

EUROPEAN HISTORY
• 2005-2008, European program Pythagoras II. Subject: The Mediterranean during the crusades (12th – 15th centuries): Institutions, social welfare/society, economy. Coordinator: Associate Professor Maria Dourou-Eliopoulou, in collaboration with Lecturer Nikoletta Giantsi-Meletiadi. Participation of Ph.D. candidates and MA students.

 

 

European program Heracleitus

BYZANTINE HISTORY
October 2002 – December 2006, European program Heracleitus. Assistant Professor Triantafyllitsa Maniati-Kokkini. Ph.D. candidate: Maria Matthaiou. Topic of Ph. D.: The Secular and Private property in Byzantine Macedonia and Thrace during the Palaeologan era. The title was awarded in December 2006.
 
November 2002 - November 2006 (extended until December 2007), European program Heracleitus. Assistant Professor Athina Kolia-Dermitzaki. Ph.D. candidate: Aggeliki Papageorgiou,. Topic of Ph.D.: John II Komnenos (1118-1143) and his era. The title was awarded in March 2008

 

MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY GREEK HISTORY (Venetian Rule/Ottoman Rule)
October 2003 - October 2006, European program Heracleitus. Professor Olga Katsiardi-Hering. Ph.D. candidate: Ikaros Mantouvalos,. Topic of Ph.D.: Aspects of Greek Diaspora. From Monastir to Pest. Business and bourgeois identity of the Manos Family (end of the 18th-begin 19th centuries) [in greek]. The title was awarded in July 2007.

 

MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY GREEK HISTORY
 
November 2002- October 2005 (extended until December 2007), European program Heracleitus. Professor Antonis Liakos. Ph.D. candidate: Dimitra Lambropoulou. Topic of Ph.D.: The people who built Athens (1960-1967). The title was awarded in June 2008.
